If you communicate with us through the "Contact Us" link on our website or other applications (if applicable), we may ask you for information such as your name, email address, and telephone number so we can respond to your questions and comments. We may also use the information you provide to evaluate the quality of our products and to communicate with you about our products and services. If you decide to opt-out of any of the various ways we communicate with you, keep in mind that these preferences regarding promotional contacts do not mean that we might not contact you for other reasons, such as those related to an order you placed, an inquiry you made, a message that a friend or acquaintance requested be delivered, a newsletter to which you have subscribed, a membership you undertook, an event for which you registered, or a legally required notice. 

On our website or other applications if applicable, you may sign up to receive newsletters, exclusive offers and promotions, notice of special events, and product news. To sign up, we require your name, email address, and zip code. We use your contact details to send you the information you request and communicate with you about our products and services. You may stop the delivery of future email from us by clicking on the unsubscribe link provided, but note, it may take up to 10 business days to honor your request. By providing your personal information you consent to our transferring and processing it in the United States. 

We offer visitors to our website and applications various features for their information and enjoyment, which we may change from time to time. Your use of our website is subject to our Terms of Use. 

We collect certain information by automated means when you visit our website, web applications or our technical applications, such as how many users visited our sites and apps and the pages accessed. By collecting this information, we learn how to best tailor our websites and technical applications to our visitors. We collect this information through various means such as "cookies," "web beacons," and IP addresses as explained below. 

We collect internet-related information from visitors to our website and applications, including the referring URL, your IP address, which browser you used to come to the website or applications and the pages of our website that you viewed during your visit, for the purposes of system administration, to gather broad demographic information, and to monitor the level of activity on our website. We also utilize certain graphics in our email messages to determine things like which email messages were opened and how many times they were opened. We may also implement Google Demographics and Interest Reporting which, in the aggregate, groups our users into certain categories including: age ranges, gender, affinity categories, and in market segments.  We may use location tracking technologies.   

We may collect information about your transactions via our website, applications and partners including what products are purchased, how frequently products are purchased, any rewards or promotions associated with the purchases.  If such transactions require the use or input of checking or credit card information this data will be protected in accordance with our Storage Policy below.

We will not knowingly market alcoholic beverages to anyone under the legal purchase age. We do not sell, license, or otherwise disclose information about our customers, clients or members, except as described herein. We may share information you provide with our affiliated companies so they can communicate with you about products we think might interest you. We have not authorized these service providers to use or disclose your information, except as necessary to perform services on our behalf or comply with legal requirements. We reserve the right to transfer any information we have about you in the event we sell or transfer all or a portion of our business or assets. Promotional Communication Choices
You can opt out of receiving promotional emails and mailings by informing us of your preference at the time you sign up for an Advocate.Wine  account  or following the opt out instructions in the promotional emails or messaging we may send you. Similarly, you may opt in to receive text messages, telephone calls and mailings. Where our mobile applications may allow for the delivery of “push notifications" you can also opt out of receiving these notifications should they become active by toggling the “Notifications" switches within our mobile applications to "off." By downloading and using our mobile application, you may receive promotional messages, offers, news and information about Advocate.Wine or our business partners within the mobile application itself. These “in app" messages are part of our mobile application’s functionality and cannot be turned off. If you do not want to receive “in app" messages, offers, news and information, do not download or use our mobile application.

Please note that if you opt out of receiving promotional communications from us, we may still send you transactional communications, including emails about your accounts or purchases.

If you are a California resident, you may ask us to refrain from sharing your information (whether collected online or offline) with our affiliates and other third-parties for direct marketing purposes. Please tell us your preference by contacting us as indicated in the "How to Contact Us" section of this Privacy Policy. 

California Do Not Track Notice: because there are not yet common, industry accepted "do not track" standards and systems, our website and applications do not respond to Do Not Track signals. In addition, we may allow third parties to collect personal data from your activity on our website and applications, as described herein. 

From time to time, we may provide links to third-party websites. These websites may operate independently from Advocate.Wine and may have their own privacy policies in place, which we strongly suggest you review if you visit any linked website. To the extent any linked website you visit is owned or operated by someone other than Advocate.Wine, we are not responsible for its content or any use of the website. 

We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards on this website to help protect against unauthorized disclosure, use, alteration, or destruction of the personal information you provide. We use secure socket layer (SSL) technology to help protect your credit card and/or ACH bank information as it is transmitted to us. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any username and password you use.  While we have employed security technologies and procedures to assist safeguarding your personal information, no system or network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. 

Your information will be kept on servers in a physically and technologically secure environment located in the United States accessed only by authorized personnel or contractors who are bound to keep your information confidential. Any transmission of your credit card or ACH information will be encrypted. If you contact us regarding identity theft or some other form of unauthorized use of your data, we may disclose pertinent information to law enforcement agencies and other third parties with responsibility and authority to investigate such a claim. 

The Fair Information Practices Principles form the backbone of privacy law in the United States and the concepts they include have played a significant role in the development of data protection laws around the globe. Understanding the Fair Information Practice Principles and how they should be implemented is critical to comply with the various privacy laws that protect personal information.
